With antisemitism on the rise worldwide, several countries have initiated national strategies to confront this age-old hatred. In February 2023, AJC convened a group of international antisemitism envoys at the White House to share best practices and insights gained from drafting and implementing their own action plans to combat antisemitism.

Just last month, AJC celebrated the release of the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.

In a panel moderated by Holly Huffnagle, AJC U.S. Director for Combating Antisemitism, seven distinguished envoys joined the conversation on these critical issues: Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism; Katharina von Schnurbein, European Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life; Dr. Felix Klein, Federal Government Commissioner for Jewish Life in Germany and the Fight Against Antisemitism; Lord John Mann, Independent Advisor to the Government on Antisemitism, United Kingdom; Eddo Verdoner, National Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism, Netherlands; Fernando Lottenberg, Commissioner for Monitoring and Combating Antisemitism, Organization of American States (OAS); and Rabbi Andrew Baker, AJC Director of International Jewish Affairs and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Antisemitism.
