An additional American Jewish Committee (AJC) donation to IsraAID will bring vital Israeli medical supplies to India to deal with the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

“The images from India are heartbreaking, and compel us, as longtime friends of India, to do whatever we can to provide relief to the millions of Indians suffering from this deadly COVID-19 surge,” said AJC CEO David Harris.

The new AJC donation to IsraAID was made in honor of Indian Ambassador to Israel Sanjeev Singla and Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Taranjit Sandhu.

AJC, the leading global Jewish advocacy organization, has actively engaged India since 1990, maintains a representative in New Delhi, and has played an active role in fostering the India-U.S.-Israel relationship.

Last week, AJC announced its first grant, partnering with IsraAID to bring needed medical supplies and training to frontline health workers in India.
